Dr Thornburg has been the director of the Heart Research Center at OHSU since its inception in 1994. Dr. Thornburg’s primary research interest is Fetal Origins of Adult Disease, the study of how human development before birth is vital in predicting the likelihood of developing diseases such as heart disease, type II diabetes, and osteoporosis. Dr. Thornburg is also the son of Friendsview residents’ Hubert and Vivian Thornburg. |
At a recent education class offered at Friendsview residents’ fill the auditorium to listen to Kent L. Thornburg, Ph.D. Director, Heart Research Center at OHSU M. Lowell Edwards Chair of Research in Clinical Cardiology.
