February 15, 2010 CNA needed now for on-call We are seeking caring, friendly, dependable individuals who enjoy working on a team and who have a desire to provide excellent direct care to seniors. We are currently accepting applications from licensed CNA's who are willing to start working on-call, including weekends and holidays. starting wage: $ 11.36/hour You must have a current CNA license in Oregon and an appreciation of the needs of older adult residents. Duties include assisting with activities of daily living(ADLs) and basic care in a manner which enhances dignity and personal choice, and in accordance with individual care plan. You must have the ability to maintain productive work relations with co-workers and supervisor and be able to meet Friendsview standards for attendance. Essential Functions
Other Duties and Responsibilities: · Demonstrate the values of Friendsview Retirement Community: Integrity, stewardship, compassion, community, excellence, dignity, service, Friends heritage · Maintain confidentiality and respect residents privacy at all times · Attend and participate in orientation, training, educational activities, staff meetings and in-services to fulfill CE requirements · Attend Resident Care Conferences when assigned. · Assist with training new staff members · Report to charge nurse any suspected abuse, neglect and/or mistreatment of residents Attitude and Teamwork: · Demonstrate the ability and attitude to get along with residents, employees and supervisors. · Work Cooperatively as a team member maintaining positive working relationships with staff in all departments · Meet Friendsview attendance and call-in standards including working your fair share of weekends and holidays · Meet Friendsview’s communication standards that support positive working relationships and demonstrate respect and courtesy at all times Required Knowledge and Experience · Completion of eighth grade education. · CNA certification from Oregon State Board of Nursing. · Mandatory continuing education provided at staff in-services to maintain licensure. · English writing skills and basic computer knowledge for documentation. · Verbal English language skills adequate for communication with residents and staff. Physical and Mental Requirements · Heavy lifting, pulling, pushing including resident transfers · Walking continuously for most of the working hours. · Pushing or pulling occupied wheelchairs, commodes and other equipment. · Reaching, kneeling, stooping, bending, and twisting · Able to pass PT physical capacity screen · CPR, AED and Abdominal thrust certification or willingness to take class
