Board Finance Committee Rep
Leroy was born in McMinnville, Oregon in 1939 but grew up in Portland. He married his wife in 1959 and together they have five children, twelve grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. He worked for three years at Good Samaritan Hospital as a conscientious objector and served as the board chair for Barclay Press for 25 years. Not only was he owner of a Newberg company Climax Portable Machine Tools, Inc. for 30 years, but he also remained active at the West Chehalem Friends Church for several decades teaching adult Sunday school classes. He served on numerous city, county, state and national boards and commissions as well. LeRoy currently sits on the NWYM Finance Committee and enjoys RV trips, antique autos, and woodworking.
