Jenifer Alexander

Director of People and Culture

With over 20 years of experience in human resources within the nonprofit sector, she has built a career rooted in purpose, equity, and community impact. Her work spans a diverse range of mission-driven organizations, including those focused on creating sustainable employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, providing permanent and temporary housing for houseless populations, supporting behavioral health initiatives, and contributing to the Oregon Humane Society’s work.

She identifies as disabled and brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her role. She specializes in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and protected leave of absence laws, and is deeply committed to fostering inclusive, accessible workplaces where all individuals can thrive.

She holds an undergraduate degree in Health & Wellness and Anthropology from Eastern Oregon University, as well as a graduate degree in Strategic Human Resource Management from Bellevue University.

Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her two teenagers, exploring the outdoors through hiking and kayaking, and unwinding with reading and embroidery. She is also accompanied by her hearing service dog, Paisley, who is an important and constant part of her daily life.
